I hope you’re looking forward to dusting off that guitar, bass, piano, keys, drum kit and have gargled with something to get the vocal cords working again. We kick off this Saturday for two free sessions! 12th and 19th at 10.45am - 11.30am. No expectations on ability. Just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to meet like minded folk. If you haven’t seen the video about our current group of adults please take a wee look below.
In the first two sessions we’ll keep it easy. You’ll mostly be playing one or two songs that nobody has been given prior knowledge of so that we are all in the same boat. No need to be able to read music, guitar tabs etc. Just bring your ears and instrument.
Instruments
In the hall we have a PA for vocals, a drum kit, piano, one large bass amp, two guitar amps, mixing desk, lighting etc etc. For guitarists please bring your own guitar (acoustic or electric) and amp/lead if you have one, same for bass. You may want to bring a 4 way plug/extension cable. We have one piano and a few wanting to try that so I’m happy for us to take turns there until we all meet each other and decide who would like to bring their own. Vocalists, nothing required. Drummers/percussionists, no need to bring a drum kit although any other percussion please bring.
Location
We will meet in the former Found Church building in North Broomage Larbert, white building next to LJ’s Cafe and just down from Greens. Please don’t search Found Church on your sat nav or you will be directed to the large church opposite the Esso garage in Larbert. It would be best to put the locations as LJ’s Cafe, 2 Broomage Avenue, Larbert, FK5 4NT.
House keeping
If you need to bring a drink, please make sure it has a screw cap lid. And no food is allowed in the building. Unless needed for medical purposes. It’s fully carpeted and too big for wee me to clean afterwards.
after the two free sessions
After the initial two sessions depending on numbers I may be able to make two classes. One on the Saturday and one during the week on a morning for those who are retired or those who can work around that. The cost to continue is £26 per month by standing order. This should be set up for the next session to be paid monthly on the same date. Bank details can be found on the registration form. Let me know if you didn’t receive that.
