Piano Lessons.
With access to 8 piano tutors throughout the Forth Valley we have various price options and times available. All lessons are a half hour unless you request different. We only advise 1 hour for adults. Our tutors will have achieved a minimum standard of grade 8 ABRSM. More experienced tutors will have a degree and many years teaching experience. We are there to help you achieve your goals of learning for fun or for exams. We present pupils for exams in piano through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music if wanted.
All tutors are PVG checked and for peace of mind parents are welcome to sit in on lessons. Adults are welcome to learn as well as children and we have opportunities to play as part of a band if wanted.
Working with any tutor through Blackwood Music Academy will also give you access to performing opportunities at our regular concerts, competitions and we often play in our local care home Carrondale Care Home. We hold weekly rock and pop band classes for adults and kids where you can learn the art of playing as part of a band. No need to receive lessons through our tutors to join our weekly bands.
Our piano teachers will prepare you for exams if this is something you’d like to do. That would include learning 3 pieces, scales, ear tests and sight-reading. You can also learn to play from chords and by ear which is an important skill to learn if you want to play in a band.
