Kerry - Vocals and Piano.
Kerry graduated from the RSAMD (now RCS) in Glasgow in 1996 with a Bachelor of Education in Music 2:1 honours with singing and piano as her first and second study instruments.
After working in Glasgow schools Kerry set her sights on London with the initial ambition of performing in musical theatre, something she had developed from a young age.
Kerry did some performing work whilst down South in concert musicals, helping create a new piece of musical theatre - ‘Piper, the forgotten story’ creating the choreography and playing a lead character. Kerry also formed a duo ‘Two Ladies’ with partner Anne Wu on the piano and the performed a wide range of repertoire at pub gigs and weddings.
Kerry joined The Brit School for Performing Arts and Technology in 1998 teaching at first in the music department and then moving to the musical theatre department, her first love, where she worked her way up to become the Director of Musical Theatre in 2009 and having the privilege of working with Jessie J, Ella Eyre and Amy Winehouse as well as a whole raft of now West End stars.
Kerry led the team of 10 staff and 200 students in the department producing professional quality musicals in the school’s theatre and revising the BTEC curriculum to suit the vocational needs of the students.
In 2016 Kerry returned to her homeland and since then has been teaching at Gamta in Glasgow where she is now Head of Junior School and also building up her own business from her home in Kincardine where she teaches both singing and piano.
Kerry is happy teaching a range of styles in singing but has an excellent knowledge of musical theatre repertoire.
Kerry has recently had great success in putting students through ABRSM qualifications in both singing and piano.
